The colour grey has dominated the interior design space over the last couple of years, but now it’s time for a new neutral: cream.
As we move away from cool grey tones, we’re looking towards shades of cream that bring a touch of warmth into our homes.
To give the delicate neutral shade a contemporary twist for 2019, we’re mixing it with just a hint of darkness to create a striking and sophisticated look.
Achieving the “hint of darkness” trend in your home:
Use soft neutral shades of cream as the backdrop for your room. Choose light-toned sofas, curtains and walls to maximise natural light. Then, break up those buttery tones with small bursts of black.
Light taupe tones can also be contrasted with steely greys, inky midnight blues and ebony browns if you prefer.
